Some Sad News...

I'm going to keep this short. On Wednesday our beautiful baby Guinea Pig, Nibbles, died.
Both had been a bit pooey and lethargic so we took them to the vets where we got some things to give them but there was still no improvement and a few days later Nibbles died.

Once Honey is fully better we will get another Guinea Pig as it's a well known fact that they like company.

It's heartbreaking to see Honey call and look for Nibbles, but hopefully soon we will have two healthy Guinea Pigs again, whilst always keeping Nibbles in our memory.

Agatha Christie's House

Like Escot, another place my Mum and I always say we should visit is Greenway where Agatha Christie's house is.

I have read a fair few of her books and I love them all - there's so many twists and turns in the books I find it impossible to guess the criminal correctly!
To get to Greenway you either have to get a ferry or steam train from Paignton, so we chose a steam train! It was very exciting to see the steam come from the top of it as it whistled round all the beaches in Devon between Paignton and Greenway!
The house was very nice and is laid out just as the family left it, which gave it a more real and personal feel which was lovely as you could really imagine her living there.

Escot

The last few times we've been in Devon, Mum and I have said we would like to go to Escot but never actually got round to going! This time however was different, and we went on the second day of our holiday!
There were lots of animals there like Otters, Owls, Peacocks and even Guinea Pigs!! I also had fun on their big round trampoline and was lucky enough to hold a Barn Owl too!
The five Otters were so playful and fun to watch!
The Peahen had babies the day before we arrived so these were so sweet!
As you can imagine I spent a lot of my time there around the Guinea Pig enclosure!
If you look closely at the little house you can see the face of a gorgeous Red Squirrel!

A Day In The City

Last week I went on holiday in Devon with my Mum and we managed to do a LOT in just four and a half days! As a result of this I thought I'd share my holiday photos with you over several posts - as I came back with about 200+ photos and don't want to bore you!
The first day, we went to Exeter where we did lots of exciting things like having lunch in Giraffe - one of the nicest restaurants (and staff) ever! We also went into Whittards and Lush (reviews to come soon!) And we walked along the river and saw the Cathedral too!
 (Wanted this for so long!)
(This place does THE BEST fudge!)
 Hope you enjoyed the photos!

An Evening Kayaking

The other evening my boyfriend and I went to a local canal to kayak. It was only my second time kayaking, and I'll be honest, the first time was a complete disaster!
We kayaked for about an hour which was lovely in the evening sun. There were lots of fishermen out and we even saw a swan who came up very close to our boats!
Have you ever been kayaking?

GUINEA PIG ARRIVAL!

Friday was the day my boyfriend and I chose our very beautiful Guinea Pigs! We bought them from Pets At Home and put them in their cage here to settle down while we discussed potential names!
Nibbles and Honey were the chosen names - and very well suited too! Nibbles likes to chew/naw/pull at the water bottle and Honey is a beautiful light brown colour! Both are bundles of mischief though and like to charge round their cage at unearthly hours.
Honey

I'll be posting lots of Guinea Pig updates both on my blog and on my Instagram so be sure to follow my account which can be found on the right hand side of my blog!
Nibbles

Hope you enjoyed seeing my Guinea Pigs and think they're as sweet as I do!

RECIPE: Yummy Scrambled Eggs

Hi chums!

I thought I'd share with you my recipe for scrambled eggs as I've been eating them a lot recently (as they're a soft food and I'm doing a liquid diet)
(Yup, I'm rubbish at cracking eggs!)

Ingredients:
3 Eggs
Salt
Pepper
tsp Butter
Dash of milk
Garlic salt
You can obviously put whatever you want in it regarding flavourings but I really like mine with seasoning in it from salt and pepper and sometimes garlic salt or mixed herbs, just to make them a bit more exciting!
Firstly I beat the eggs and add the rest of the ingredients. I then put them in the microwave for about 40 seconds and take the bowl out and mash the mixture with a fork ensuring the butter is melted. I then put the mixture back in for about a minute and then mash it all up again.
And there you have it!

Hope you like my recipe, as simple as it is you can add anything to it pretty much!
