My Heart Shaped Pizza!

My boyfriend and I made pizzas from scratch the other day and I'd seen a photo on Instagram of a heart shaped one so wanted to recreate it!
It's not the best heart in the world but at least I gave it a go and it was more fun than a plain circle shaped pizza!

Lunch With Mum

The other day my Mum and I went for lunch in Mulberry's for a celebratory meal.
I had duck wraps and they were just scrumptious! If you ever come across one of their restaurants I highly recommend them because they're so filling! It came with crisps and salad too which topped the meal off perfectly!

My Liquid Diet

For a long time I have been unhappy with my weight. I'm not 'fat' or 'obese' but I know that I'm not 'thin' either, I at least know that I want to be slimmer.

I have tried a lot of things to lose weight such as just eating fruit and veg, drinking a lot of water in a day and literally looking up how many calories were in every single thing I was eating.

I have lost weight going from a size 14 to a size 10/12, although I've also changed my appetite too, I was always the child who would happily eat packet after packet of Haribo's whereas now I can't have more than a handful or so until I begin to feel a bit sick and bloated!

I've decided that I'm going to do a liquid diet after seeing a friend's friend do it and the results on her after just 6 weeks were incredible. I will be having homemade smoothies and soups as well as solid fruit and veg and probably scrambled eggs for protein - I may also buy some protein shakes to ensure I'm getting all the nutrients I need.

I will be updating you on my progress and any results so keep an eye out for any news and recipes!

My First Meal at TGI Friday's

If you've been following my blog for a while you'll know that I LOVE FOOD!

Last week my boyfriend and I went on a double date with my friend and her boyfriend in Bristol. We decided to go to TGI Friday's as most of us hadn't been before.
The restaurant was really nicely laid out, I loved all the colours in there and all the lights that were up were so pretty. There were paddles on the ceiling, some converse trainers hanging up...it was all so random and I loved it!
I had a blue raspberry slush drink and it was DELICIOUS, I loved the blue fading up the drink...so sad I know!

For mains I had a hot dog which was really nice and filling, the portion sizes were very generous! We joked my meal came in a mini trough as it was a metal circular dish with chips at the bottom and the hot dog on top.

For dessert was a rocky road sundae which was probably my favourite thing of the night! Marshmallows, chocolate sauce, vanilla ice cream and biscuit pieces were just DIVINE!
I loved TGI Friday's and although it was a bit pricier than what I'd usually go for it was really nice food and great for an occasional treat!

Have you ever been?

What I Did For My Birthday

Hi chums!
I had probably the best birthday yet last weekend so I thought I'd tell/show you what I got up to!
This has to be one of the nicest things to wake up to on your birthday! I got so many lovely and feel so lucky, if you haven't already and you're interested then check out what I got in my previous post!
Birthday cake!
I then drove to Cabot Circus (Bristol) where my boyfriend and I did a bit of shopping before going to the cinema and watching Focus - it was very good!
We then went to Za Za Bazaar which was lovely and then went out for a few drinks!
The next day was a lot more relaxing, we went to a spa in Gloucester where we had a back, neck and shoulder massage and full use of their pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room! After that we got a lunch which was included in our pay package so that was nice! In the evening we drove back to Somerset and went to see Insurgent, this was so good but very jumpy for someone whose not too keen on loud noises!
The last day of the weekend was spent at the beach to enjoy the sunshine! We also went to an arcade where we lost all of our money on 2p machines!!

Date Night At Frankie & Benny's

The other evening my boyfriend and I went to our local Italian/American called Frankie and Bennies for a meal out. I love this restaurant because the food and drinks are always delicious and I love the overall atmosphere of the place, the music is of an older era perhaps the 1950's/60's (which I love), and the lights go out and people sing when it is someones birthday which I think is a really nice touch!
I ordered a strawberry milkshake which was made with dairy ice cream so it was a nice change from the milkshake syrups or liquids other restaurants use! I then had a New Yorker wrap which was quite spicy for me I think it was the BBQ sauce! It had chicken, bacon, lettuce and other tasty food in it! And with it I got a little pot of coleslaw and quite a few chips!
What food do you eat when you go out?

The Best Pancakes & Sauce!

Unfortunately (or not so unfortunately as it turns out) I was in Venice, Italy on holiday when it was Pancake Day here in the UK so I missed out on my pancakes, but instead enjoyed the views and weather of beautiful Italy!
When I got home however, Mum had kindly bought me some Marks & Spencer's pancakes with butterscotch sauce and OH MY WORD they're the nicest things!
If you like all things sweet - like me - you'll love these! There's plenty of sauce for the pancakes which is good as usually I'm rationing sauce for each pancake as some never seem to come with enough! The pancakes are really nice and fluffy like the American ones everyone always raves about!

Do you like pancakes? What is your favourite topping?
